Best if you want more space. Look near a Canada Line station, Coal Harbour, or Kitsilano for easier wedding-weekend travel.

Where to eat

Nightingale

Nightingale

Family-style sharing menu known for its wood-fired oven pizza, fried chicken, and baked sweet potatoes. One of our guests works at Nightingale.

Get a free cocktail on us if you can find out who!

Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh

Our go-to spots when we're craving soup and fried chicken. Here's our order:

• Hot & sour soup with fish
• Deep fried chicken wings (L)
• Luc lac wtih egg

Linh Cafe

Linh Cafe

The best phở in town. Johnny orders the large phở and Jade orders the foie gras parfait paired with their vietnamese coffee.

Jam Cafe

Jam Cafe

Our favourite neighborhood brunch spot. The eggs benedict uses a pineapple citrus holandaise sauce which pairs perfectly with their iced coffee.

Where to visit

Kitsilano

Kitsilano

This is our neighbourhood. Kits Beach has one of the best views in the city, with the North Shore mountains on one side and the downtown skyline on the other.

Grab a coffee and walk the seawall, or browse the shops along West 4th. If you want to see where we spend our weekends, you’ll find it here.

Yaletown

Yaletown

Old warehouse district turned restaurant row. Great patios, good wine lists, and everything is walkable.

If you’re looking for somewhere to eat before or after the wedding, this is the neighbourhood.

Whistler

Whistler

About two hours north on the Sea to Sky Highway. The drive is worth it on its own. Whistler hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics and the village still has that energy.

In October there’s Cornucopia, a wine and food festival with special menus across the village. Good for hiking or just walking around if you’re not into the slopes.

Vancouver Island

Vancouver Island

A ferry ride from downtown and it genuinely feels like a different world. Victoria is charming and easy to walk, good for a day or two. Tofino is further northwest and more of a commitment, but the beaches are wild and it’s one of those places you should see at least once.
